Retired naval officer, journalist, writer. Born in 1901 in San Angel, Texas.
Joined the Navy in 1922 with no high school education. Retired as a captain in 1960 after 38 years of association with the Navy, of which 20 years were spent on active duty. Worked as a journalist in San Diego, San Francisco, and Los Angeles (1926-mid 1930s) and later became a full-time writer, publishing hundreds of stories and many fiction and non-fiction books, including "New Country" (1962) and "Ozona Country" (1964). After retirement, Bosworth resided in Roanoke, Virginia.
