Pomar, Juan Bautista, active 1582
Variant namesAuthor and chronicler of precolonial and colonial Mexico. Born and died in Texcoco, circa 1535-1590. His mother was a daughter of Texcoco's monarch, Nezahualpilli; his father was a Spaniard, Antonio de Pomar. Pomar is known for compiling the Relación de Texcoco, completed in March 1582, and a collection of Nahuatl poetry.
