Hide Profile

Archivists of the Houston Area (AHA!) was founded in 1998 by “The Gang of Four” (Houston archivists Lesley Brunet, Shelly Kelly, Mark Martin, and Gerianne Schaad) to facilitate interaction among area archivists and repositories. By-laws were adopted and first officers elected in Dec. 2002, providing a more formal structure for the organization. AHA! membership includes, but is not limited to, those interested in preservation of the historical record, and exists to increase contact and communication among archivists and those working with records, to provide opportunities for professional development, and to promote archival repositories and activities in the greater Houston, TX area.

The current website for the group is www.houstonarchivists.org.
