Born in Depew, N.Y., 1911. Served with the Buffalo Police Dept. 1936-1956; in the U.S. Army during World war II and the Korean Conflict; as Undersheriff of Erie County 1956-1959; as Erie County Sheriff 1959-1968; and as Erie County's second County Executive 1968-1971. Also active in local and state Republican politics. Died in 1993.
