Paul B. Janeczko was born on July 27, 1945 in Passaic, NJ. He studied at St. Francis College in Maine and later at John Carroll University. He has worked as a poet, an anthologist, a high school English teacher and as a visiting lecturer. Janeczko is well known for his anthologies, which place the poetry of young upstarts next to internationally known poets. Janeczko has won many awards, and many of his works have been chosen by the American Library Association as the Best Book of the Year.
