Patrick, Luther, 1894-1957
Variant namesPatrick served as U.S. Representative from Alabama's Ninth Congressional District, 1937-43 and 1945-47. Before that, he had been Fairfield (Ala.) city attorney, assistant state attorney general, and federal district attorney. He was also a member of the War Production Board (1943-45). Patrick was a noted author, poet, and radio personality for WAPI and WBRC (after 1925). He died in 1957.
