Brian Christopher Deese was a senior advisor to President Barack Obama from 2015 to 2017. Previously, Deese served as Deputy Director of the Office of Management and Budget. Prior to OMB, Mr. Deese served as Deputy Director of the National Economic Council. Before he joined the Administration, in January of 2009, Mr. Deese worked as a member of the Economic Policy Working Group for the Obama-Biden transition team and was the Deputy Economic Policy Director to the Obama Campaign. Prior to this Deese served as Economic Policy Director for Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign. Deese spent three years at the Center for American Progress where he worked as a Senior Policy Analyst for Economic Policy. Most recently, he has been providing advice to institutions interested in sustainable investing strategies, lecturing at the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, and as Managing Director, is Global Head of Sustainable Investing at BlackRock. Deese is a graduate of the Yale Law School, where he received J.D., and from Middlebury College a B.A. in political science.
