Geiger, Roy S. (Roy Stanley), 1885-1947
Variant namesRoy Stanley Geiger (b. Jan. 25, 1885-d. Jan. 23, 1947) was born in Middleburg, Florida. He commanded the 3rd Marine Amphibious Corps during the Allied invasion and capitulation of Okinawa in 1945. In 1946, he served as the senior Marine representative at Bikini Atoll, during atomic tests Able and Baker.
