William George Haan (b. Oct. 4, 1863, Crown Point, Indiana-d. Oct. 26, 1924, Washington, D.C.), Major General in the U. S. Army, graduated from West Point in 1889 and served as Captain of Volunteers in Cuba and the Philippines. He went to France in early 1918 as commander of the 32nd Infantry Division, taking part in several key offensives. In 1920, General Haan was named Director of the War Plans Division, General Staff, and he retired in May 1922.
