Formhals, Henry Martin, 1908-1981
Variant namesHenry Martin Formhals (1908-1981) was an American cartoonist. Beginning in 1935, he served as assistant on Merrill Blosser's newspaper comic strip Freckles and His Friends . Formhals' name officially appeared on the strip in the mid 1960s (March 21, 1966), and he continued to work on it until the end of its run in 1971. Over the course of his career, Formhals also worked on the Joe Jinks strip (1946-1953) and assisted on Charlie Plumb's Ella Cinders .
