Egil "Bud" Krogh (b. 1939) was an assistant to John Ehrlichman during the Nixon administration, 1969 to 1974, serving as Deputy Counsel to the President and later, Deputy Assistant to the President for Domestic Affairs. His responsibilities included drugs, crime, law enforcement, housing, government reorganization, and transportation. He was tried and convicted of the burglary of Daniel Ellsberg's psychiatrist in 1971, and received a five-year sentence for conspiracy.
