Elliot, Jane Evans, 1820-1882
Jane S. Evans was a diarist in Fayetteville, N.C., during the 19th century. Her husband was Alexander Elliot, a lumberman who served in the North Carolina House of Commons, 1824-1825, and the North Carolina Senate, 1826. He was a colonel in the militia and active in the Civil War.
