Alice Low was born June 5, 1926, in New York, NY. Her mother was a children's book author under the pseuydonym Ann Todd. Alice Low became a writer and producer of educational filmstrips, a writer, editor, and anthologist. She has received several awards and honors for her work. She has written fiction, non-fiction, and poetry for children and young adults. Her writings, especially those for younger readers, are known for humorous plots and fanciful characters.
