Freeman, Mark, 1908-
Variant namesPainter, printmaker, and administrator (New York, N.Y.). Born in Austria, Freeman studied at Columbia, at the Sorbonne, and at the National Academy of Design. He was director of the Eastside Gallery in New York City from 1960 to 1970. From 1974 to 1988 he served as the president of the National Society of Artists in Casein and Acrylic, and he is an honorary life president of Audubon Artists.
