George I. Brown, emeritus professor of education at the University of California, Santa Barbara, founded the confluent education program at that campus. He also trained as a Gestalt therapist and is known for applying the humanistic psychology model to organizations. He has also taught at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, and the Universities of New Hampshire, Delaware, and Oslo, Norway.
