Karnow, Stanley
Variant namesStanley Karnow (b. 1925) was the Paris Correspondent for Time magazine from 1950 to 1957, North African Bureau Chief from 1958 to 1959, Hong Kong Bureau Chief from 1959 to 1962, and the Special Correspondent from 1962 to 1963. He was a Far East Correspondent for the Saturday Evening Post from 1963 to 1965, and Far East Correspondent and Diplomatic Correspondent for the Washington Post from 1962 to 1972. Karnow also served as Associate Editor of the New Republic in Washington, D.C., from 1973 to 1975.
