Michael Conway Preece was born in Los Angeles, California on September 15, 1936. He started his career in motion pictures (1950s) as a script supervisor and went on to act and direct. Preece worked on television series such as I Spy, Hawaii Five-0, and Streets of San Francisco . He started directing in the mid-1970s including television programs such as Dallas, Bionic Woman, and Barnaby Jones .
