Irvine, Sarah Agnes Estelle, 1887-1970
Variant namesSadie Irvine, born in New Orleans in 1887, became a student at Newcomb College at age fifteen, received her diploma in art in 1906, and served as an instructor in pottery and other arts, until her retirement in 1952. She was a student and colleague of Ellsworth Woodward. She produced and taught pottery design, drawing in watercolor and pastel, and print-making. Sadie Irvine died in 1970.
