Chomsky, William, 1896-1977
Variant namesWilliam (Zeev) Chomsky was an American scholar of Hebrew. From 1924-1969, he faculty and later president at Gratz College. He also taught at Dropsie College (1955-1977). He was superintendent (principal) of the Mikveh Israel religious school. He is the father of linguist and activist Noam Chomsky.
