Ashby, Norma B.

A native of Helena, Norma Beatty Ashby graduated from the University of Montana with a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism. She lived in New York City for four years, working for Life Magazine and MD Medical News-magazine. In 1961 Ashby moved to Great Falls where she was hired by KRTV as hostess of the daily show, "Today in Montana." The show eventually was carried statewide and Ashby produced it, and its follow-up, "Perspective on Great Falls," until 1987.
