Popular novelist Rona Jaffe (1931-2005) was born in Brooklyn, New York, and graduated from Radcliffe College (A.B. 1951). Her first novel, The Best of Everything, was published in 1958 and depicted the lives of four stenographers looking for romance in cutthroat corporate Manhattan. A subsequent novel, Class Reunion (1979), recounted three decades in the lives of four Radcliffe roommates.
