Dinsmoor, the third Librarian (1920-1926) of the Avery Architectural and Fine Arts Library, bought the unpublished manuscript of the 6th book of DESIGNS FOR DOMESTIC ARCHITECTURE by the Italian architect, Sebastiano Serlio (1475-1554), for the Avery Library and planned to publish it.
