She received her BA from Rockford College 1927 and did graduate study at Kansas City Art Institute and California School of Fine Art. Her artisit career (1929-83) included numerous commissioned works, scenes for Rodger's and Hammerstein's play Oklahoma!, and pictorial essays for Life magazine.
