Roger McDonald is an author, poet, screenplay writer, literary editor and literary reviewer. He worked as a teacher in NSW, a producer and director of schools' radio and television for the ABC and as poetry editor for University of Queensland Press in Brisbane (1969-76). In 1977 he took up full-time writing. McDonald has published a number of works in a variety of genres including both fiction and non-fiction, poetry and short stories, as well as writing scripts for television mini-series and documentaries.
