Leonard V. Finder (1910-1969) received his B.A. from the University of Illinois (1930) and his LL.B. from the University of Illinois Law School (1933). He practiced law in Chicago from 1933-1938 and went on to become Assistant National Director and Eastern Regional Director of the Anti-Defamation League. From 1947-1951, he was publisher of the Manchester Evening-Leader and the Stafford Star in New Hampshire. After a ten year stint as Vice President and Secretary at the Universal Match Corporation in St. Louis, Missouri, he served as editor and publisher of the Sacramento Union from 1962-1966. After Finder left the Sacramento Union, he devoted his time to lecturing and teaching, primarily at the Extension Program of the University of California, Davis. Following a world tour in 1966, he began work on a book manuscript entitled, "Reflections in Asia."
