Crisp, L. F. (Leslie Finlay), 1917-1984
Variant namesEminent academic, historian of the Australian Labor Party and biographer of Ben Chifley. Crisp was a public servant from 1940 until 1950. On his retirement from the public service he became Head of Political Science at the Canberra University College which later merged with the Australian National University. On his retirement in 1977, he became Emeritus Professor and later Visiting Fellow.
