Dehner, John
Variant namesJohn A. Dehner was born in 1874 and attended parochial schools in Burlington, Iowa. He was in the cigar business from 1887-1916. In 1916 he went into the seed and feed business at Dehner Seed and Supply Company in Burlington. He was a charter member of the Des Moines County Farm Bureau; a member of the Chamber of Commerce; president of the Burlington Chapter of the Izaak Walton League; and director of the Crystal Lake Hunting and Fishing Club. He also belonged to the Knights of Columbus and the Catholic Church.
