James W. Clark, Jr. (1943- ), was the director of the Humanities Extension from 1993 until and a professor in the English Department from 1967 until. Clark received his bachelor's degree in English from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill (1965), and his master's degree (1967) and Ph. D. (1970) in English from Duke University. He has authored numerous publications, including Clover All Over . He has been involved in various professional associations, including the Thomas Wolfe Society.
