Congregation Agudath Sholom (Stamford, Conn.)
Variant namesEstablished as Agudath Sholom in 1889. In 1904 the congregation received a new charter as an Orthodox synagogue. Property was purchased on Greyrock Place and ground was broken for a new building. It took almost four years to complete the building. Fire gutted the synagogue in 1932. A new lot was purchased on Grove St.; ground breaking was held on 12 July 1938. A new building was built in 1965 on Newfield Ave. Grove Street property was sold to Faith Tabernacle Baptist Church.
