Joseph Warren Stilwell, Jr. (b. Mar. 6, 1912, New York-d. July 25, 1966), also known as Jumping Joe and Gunner Six, was a U.S. Army one-star general best known for service in the U.S. Army Special Forces. He died in a plane crash in the Pacific Ocean about 585 miles west of San Fancisco, California.
