Hans Ewald Heller (1894-1966) was a composer, pianist, writer, and music critic. He was born in Vienna and educated at the University of Vienna. He was a music critic for the journals Wiener Zeitung and Neues Wiener . He fled Vienna in 1938 and came to the United States, where he taught, edited, created film music and was music director for "Hearst Metrotone News," a newsreel series.
