Justice, William Wayne, 1920-2009

Born in Athens, Texas, Justice received his undergraduate and law degrees from The University of Texas. Judge Justice married Sue Rowan in 1947, with whom he had one daughter, Ellen Justice. He served in the United States Army before returning to East Texas to practice law with his father and serve as city attorney in Athens. President John F. Kennedy selected him as U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Texas, and President Lyndon B. Johnson then appointed him to the federal bench in 1968 in Tyler.
