Lyndwood, William, 1375?-1446

Lyndwood took holy orders in 1407 and became an official of the court of Canterbury in 1414. In 1425, he became Dean of the Arches and in 1442 Bishop of St. Davids. He is best remembered for the Provinciale, considered a principal authority for English canon law.
