Greene, George, 1817-1880
Variant namesGeorge Greene was a lawyer and businessman in pioneer Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He helped found Coe College, he built Greene's Opera House, and was president of the Burlington, Cedar Rapids & Minnesota Railroad. George Green married Francis R. Graves and they had two sons, Calvin Graves and Robert C. Greene.
