MacGill, Patrick, 1890-1963
Variant namesIrish writer Patrick MacGill (1890–1963) is remembered for his poems and novels. MacGill was known as the "Navvy Poet" because of the low-skilled jobs he held prior to writing as well as for his poetry, which described the experiences of Irish working people.
