Alacrán (scorpion) is an Aztec ritual dance. Commissioned by the Lancaster Symphony Orchestra. Composed 1957. First performance Lancaster, Pennsylvania, 3 December 1957, Lancaster Symphony Orchestra, Louis Vyner conductor. Dedicated to Bernard Flavigny.--Cf. Fleisher Collection.
