Robert Coldwell Wood (b. 1923) was a management organization expert at the U.S. Bureau of the Budget from 1951 to 1954, Under Secretary of the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) from 1966 to 1968, and Secretary of HUD in 1969. He also served as a professor of political science at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Harvard University, University of Massachusetts, and Wesleyan University, and was president of the University of Massachusetts from 1970 to 1977.
