Havergal, Francis T. (Francis Tebbs), 1829-1890
Variant namesFrancis Tebbs Havergal (1829-1890), the youngest son of the composer William Havergal, was a Bible clerk of New College, Oxford, BA 1852, MA 1857. He was successively vicar-choral in Hereford Cathedral, 1853-1874, vicar of Pipe with Lyde, 1861-1874 and of Upton Bishop, 1874-1890, and prebendary of Hereford, 1877-1890. Havergal was the author of a number of books on Hereford Cathedral and on Herefordshire, as well as Memorials of the Rev Sir Frederick Arthur Gore Ousley, Baronet, 1889.
