Seredy, Kate.
Variant namesHungarian children's author/illustrator, born in Budapest, Hungary in 1899; and emigrated to the United States in 1922. This award-winningartist wrote and illustrated a dozen books and illustrated more than fifty for other authors. She was the first writer of children's books to deal with the problems of the alien and also wrote about the effects of war on children.
