Garrison H. Davidson was a United States (U.S.) Army officer during the period 1928-1964. He served as a football coach for the U.S. Military Academy from 1927-1928. During World War II (WWII), he was an engineer under Patton and was involved in planning the southern France invasion. He was in the military action of the Korean War, became commandant of the Command and General Staff College in 1954-1956, and then was appointed as superintendent of the U.S. Military Academy from 1956-1960.
