Lattin, Frank H. (Frank Haak), 1861-1937
Variant namesFruit farmer, naturalist, physician, and politician. He was born in Gaines, Orleans County, NY. Graduate of Albion High School, 1882, and the University of Buffalo Medical School, 1899. From 1881 to 1900 he was a museum builder and conducted the largest mail order business in the world devoted exclusively to handling of artifacts and specimens. As a fruit grower, he had 300 acres of apples and 50 acres each devoted to pears, cherries, peaches, and plums. Served in the New York State Assembly, 1917-1930, as a Republican representing Orleans County.
