Reding, John R. (John Randall), 1805-1892
Variant namesReding was born in Portsmouth, N.H. in 1805. He was an apprentice in the printer's trade and became an editor. He was a member of the United States House of Representatives from 1841 to 1845; a naval storekeeper in Portsmouth from 1853 to 1858; mayor of Portsmouth in 1860; and a member of the New Hampshire House of Representatives from 1867 to 1870. He died in Portsmouth in 1892.
