Calvert, Mary Ross, 1894-1974
Mary Ross Calvert (b. June 20, 1884, Nashville, TN–d. June 25, 1974, Nashville, TN) was an American astronomical computer and astrophotographer. She started work at the Yerkes Observatory in 1905 as assistant and computer. She became curator of the Yerkes photographic plate collection and a high-level assistant from 1923 until her retirement in 1946.
