Sfondrati, Paolo Camillo, 1561-1618
Variant namesCleric who was named a Cardinal of the Church in 1590 by his uncle, Pope Gregory XIV. He had great influence at the papal court and was in almost complete control of both religious and civil affairs during his uncle's pontificate. He was also important in Church matters after the death of his uncle.
