The American Committee on Italian Migration (ACIM), Chicago Chapter (Illinois) resulted from a meeting called by the National Catholic Resettlement Council in 1951. Suggestion for the organization came from His Eminence Cardinal Stritch Archbishop of Chicago; it was headed by Judge Juvenal Marchisio.
