In 1981 and 1982, Dr. Joseph Gallian recorded his interviews with several prominent figures in the area of finite simple group theory. Interviewees include Jonathan L. Alperin, Michael Aschbacher, Daniel E. Gonrenstein, Robert L. Griess, and Ronald Solomon. Dr. Gallian also recorded several lectures given by Gorenstein, Solomon, Bill Kantor, George Glauberman, and Michael O’Nan.
