Harold J. Chance was the Director of Friends Peace Service of the American Friends Service Committee from 1943 to 1962. The son of John and Mabel Wood Chance of Hardin County, Iowa, Harold married Wannitta Allee in Oskaloosa in 1924. After his retirement, Chance moved to Florida where he died in 1975. Harold Chance served as head of the Peace Section, American Friends Service Committee.
