Fay and Company; awarded doctorate of music from Dennyson University, 1875; composed hundreds of evangelistic hymns and edited 43 collections of hymns; holder of American and foreign patents on wood-working machinery; received Chevalier Legion of Honor of France, 1889; died 1915.
