William Mark Felt was born on August 17, 1913, in Twin Falls, Idaho. Felt was and FBI agent and administrator during the 1970s. As Deep Throat, a pseudonym given to W. Mark Felt by Washington Post reporters Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein, Felt was a secret source who leaked information about the involvement of President Richard Nixon's administration in the events that came to be known as the Watergate scandal. After many years of secrecy, Felt revealed his identity May 31, 2005.
