Roswell Farnham of Bradford, Vt., was commissioned 2nd Lieutenant of Co. D of the First Vermont Regiment May 1, 1861 and was mustered out August 15, 1861. He was commissioned Lieutenant-Colonel of the Twelfth Vermont Regiment September 19, 1862, and was mustered out July 14, 1863.
